Hi, this is my first post ever.

Hi, my name is Michael as you can probably tell by my screen name. Also, as you can tell as well this is my very first post so I just want to say "Hello Bloggers!" I would like to tell you a little about myself. I am 17 years old, and I aspire to be an engineer. I am not sure which engineering discipline I should follow, so if any of you guys have any advice for me it will be well appreciated. Well that is all I have to say for now so "Good Bye and Happy Blogging!"

I loved your post! It sounds just like you! :)

I didn't know you wanted to be an engineer...well, maybe I did and forgot. You should talk with Jeffrey or Dranoel at Teen U. One of them is an engineering major.

Also, check this out: http://www.uta.edu/engineering/summercamps/ I think you're a senior...and unfortunately, those camps are only for 6th-11th graders, I think. But it would *definitely* be worth looking into...and passing the word along to other, younger, friends. It is worth the $350 or whatever it costs. They introduce you to all different kinds of engineers and you choose which one you want to do for the week and create a project. They go on field trips to different places that utilize engineers.

The kids/teens there learned more in a week than I ever knew about engineering. Definitely check it out...maybe you could beg them to let you have a place even though you're too old. :)

Good luck- you will be a wonderful engineer :0)
